I know many of you are very excited about the prospect of returning to the pitch.
I have been advised that the intention is to play beginning the weekend of Aug 14-15-16. Please submit your availability NOW, I will begin assigning as soon as I receive the schedule.
Many of you will have questions and concerns. Here is my advice:
1. Be Patient. The league administrators and referee administrators are doing their best to work within the rules and guidelines. They must adhere to state and local government guidelines as well as KSYSA and USYSA rules.
2. Be Flexible. The guidelines may change week to week. We may start play and then pause or stop. We may plan to play and then be unable to due to a change in guidelines. You will have rules to follow and those may change (often).
3. Be Willing. As with nearly all other aspects of life, things won’t be the same as they were last time you were at the fields. You will have guidelines to follow (such as wearing a mask at the referee common area and in other designated places/times). These rules may change from week to week. Be willing and understanding that the administrators are all doing their best. The league wants to play. The referee administration wants to play. The teams and coaches want to play…. we all need to work together to facilitate.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
